近日,2013 年度(第 51 届)R&D 100 大奖(R&D 100 Awards)的名单揭晓。新材料、生命科学、电子仪器、通讯、成像系统、消费类产品等多个领域的创新产品荣获这一奖项。我们熟悉的多家生物公司,如安捷伦、卡尔蔡司、默克密理博、奥林巴斯、赛默飞世尔和沃特世等,都榜上有名,其中赛默飞世尔有5个产品获奖,可谓大赢家。
R&D 100 大奖被誉为“科技奥斯卡”,是国际科技研发领域极为推崇的科技研发奖。来自美国各领域著名专家学者每年从全球上千件科技创新技术中,依照其科技突破性、创新独特性及应用实用性3项标准,评选出全球 100 项年度具重大创新意义的商品化技术。
每年,生命科学领域都有不少产品获奖,主要集中在实验室设备、分析仪器、成像、生命科学等方面。部分获奖产品如下:
Argonne National Laboratory:Rhodobacter 膜蛋白表达系统(生命科学)
美国阿贡国家实验室的生物学家 Philip Laible和Deborah Hanson开发出一种系统,它利用光合细菌(Rhodobacter)来创建更大量的膜蛋白,在压低生产成本的同时,也让膜蛋白的研究比以往更轻松。

奥林巴斯:Olympus IX3 系列倒置显微镜(成像)
全新IX3系列倒置显微镜,吸取了广大用户科研的实战经验,融合了最新触屏技术、高敏度的滤片技术、柔性一体化整合技术、LED光源技术,巧妙地将活细胞置于物镜镜头之上,实现了实时连续观察生命微观结构功能的动态变化。
赛默飞世尔:iCAP Q(分析仪器)
